CONFIRMED BOOKING PREPARATION QUIDE
Please arrive 5 minutes early, wait until it is time for your appointment. While you wait, you can make remaining payment and send screen shot of same to your artist.
We have all make up products to cater for all skin types and complexions, however if you feel you’d like us to use your foundation, you are welcome to bring it along.
Do you have sensitive eyes? Running nose? It will be helpful to take hay fever medication to aid with this. If you normally use eye drops, please do so prior to your appointment as well.
CLEANSE, EXFOLIATE & MOISTURISE
Please arrive with clean face, no makeup is allowed as it takes additional time to remove. To achieve a flawless skin, ongoing cleanse, toning a week before will help. Remember to moisturise. If your artist needs to skin prep, she will decide on what to add to your face prior to makeup application.
Please ensure that excess facial hairs, unwanted brow hairs, moustache, chin hair etc as it can interfere with application. Highly recommended.
Trick to ensure your lips are well moisturised and hydrated is to keep hydrated and moisturise your lips thoroughly throughout the day.Lip sticks or lip gloss looks amazing on cleansed lips!
Please blow your nose before attending appointment as this can interfere with makeup application.
Throughout makeup application, your artist will engage with you at a minimum, lengthy conversations can affect duration of makeup application as it interferes with process.
Please be mindful you will be sitting for 1.5 plus hours depending on your booking, please wear comfortable clothing. The clothing will also be helpful to catch any fall out should you decide against cape which is often provided by your artist
DONTS DURING MAKEUP APPLICATION
Your artist has a charging station for your phone, you can leave it to charge whilst you get your makeup done. Please do not go on your phone during makeup application, it is very disruptive and interferes with the process. In instances where you need to use your phone for emergency, this is considered.
Do not attend appointment whilst you are unwell. Notify your artist before hand. Alternatively you can self reschedule to a more suitable late if it is less than 24hrs. If more than that unfortunately deposit are non refundable and non transferable
MAKEUP INSPIRATIONS
If you have a look in mind you’d like your artist to work on your face, please send this before the day of your booking.
A mini consultation will take please to ensure you and your artist are on the same page regarding your desired look. Please be mindful that not all photos you choose may suit you, your artist will discuss with you what look best matches with your features.
SKIN PREPARATION PRIOR TO MAKEUP
ACNE prone skin - Please do not pick the acne’s as freshly picked spot will not cover with foundations due to oils.
SMILE LINES - Makeup enhances this, it does not erase it. If you have deep smile lines or wrinkles, please know that this will show even after makeup is done. Your artist will use products that will not sink into these lines as best as she’s able.
FAKE TAN - Please fake tan two days prior to event, tan needs time to develop and it continues to develop even after washing it off. If you tan the day before your event, it may still have green, rey tint. When washing off your tan, rinse with cold water only. If you shower with hot water your tan will fade a lot. You could also apply tanning lotion to help contain the colour.
LASH EXTENSIONS
Although it is completely fine if you have lash extensions on, it is advisable not to wear just before appointment. Concealers sometimes get into them and to even the white your artist will need to use mascara which interferes with the longitivtiy of your lashes. You want your individual lashes to last right? Simply do not wear them if you can to your makeup apppointment
EYE CONTACT LENSES/GLASSES
Please let your makeup artist know if you wear contact lenses wether it is prescription or fashion lenses.
If you wear glasses normally, your artist will require you to have your glasses off throughout the makeup application. You can wear your glasses straight after makeup is done prior to reveal
TIPS FOR LONGER LASTING MAKEUP
Dance and dance some more! Just kidding. Your artist depending on the booking selection will give you blotting paper to use should you need to through out your occasion. This helps longevity of makeup.
